Meet Tony McNerney, founder and principal consultant with a passion for guiding clients through complex tax and probate matters. Originally a qualified engineer, Tony switched careers to accounting—earning top marks and First-Class honors at the National College of Ireland before completing an MA in Accounting at NUI Maynooth. He refined his skills at Grant Thornton, later qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor and further strengthening his expertise with a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning from the Law Society of Ireland and STEP.
Today, Tony focuses on Capital Gains Taxes, Probate, and high-level Tax Consulting, drawing on his diverse background to provide practical, forward-looking solutions. By combining rigorous technical knowledge with a client-first approach, Tony provides clients with strategic advice and tailored solutions to navigate intricate tax issues with clarity and confidence.

Meet Krista Niedra, co-founder of Golden Oaks Financial Services. She oversees day-to-day operations, including payroll, VAT and Income Tax compliance, scheduling, organization, and task management. Krista joined Tony’s former firm, McNerney & Co., as part of her university internship in 2020, and has since graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Maynooth University.
In addition to her recent degree, Krista also holds a professional degree in Computer Science from the University of Latvia, where she gained valuable experience in the Student Union accounts department. She has a FETAC Level 5 qualification in Manual & Computerised Payroll (Distinction) and is currently pursuing her Chartered Tax Advisor qualification through the Irish Tax Institute, further enhancing her expertise in tax and compliance. Krista ensures clients’ day-to-day financial operations run smoothly, providing timely compliance, efficient processes, and total peace of mind.
